Scholarship Award Program

Purpose The ICANDO Women Empowerment Scholarship Program was established with a purpose to support young women in fulfilling their dreams of higher education while also inspiring them to walk in their true purpose. We offer two scholarshipe types: College Scholarship & Entreprenuer Scholarship.

Eligibility

Currently graduating as a High School senior of an accredited High School within Los Angeles County with plans to start a women-owned business designed to service women and/or girls. How to Apply: Entrepreneur Scholarship: Write an essay of no fewer than 500 words about your entrepreneurial aspirations, your passionate purpose and how you plan to achieve success as an entrepreneur. Explain the what, why and how of your business idea.

College Scholarship: Write an essay of no fewer than 500 words about your career aspirations, your passionate purpose and how your current studies will help you achieve success in your career. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? Thinking outside the box is encouraged!

When is the Deadline to Apply? All entries must be submitted by midnight on July 1st. The winning applicants will be selected and announced at the annual ICANDO Women Empowerment Conference (Visit our website events for conference info.) When is the Award issued? Each Scholarship will be awarded at the ICANDO Women Empowerment Conference. Selection Process and Notification The ICANDO Scholarship Committee will select the winners. Once the winners have been determined, ICANDO will notify the scholarship recipients by email.
